Cozumel/Cancun

Hello all!

I am currently in Cancun and already having an adventure! Luckily, the hurricane does not appear to be hitting where I am at, though there is some rain. Just getting here was worrisome due to that! I got up early this morning to take a taxi, then a ferry to Cozumel nearby (but still takes about two hours to get there) I got up way to early to be on vacation! First thing, it looked like storms were moving in, and there was rain getting off the ferry. After getting to the dive shop, it seemed to clear up so it was a go to dive. No matter what, the first dive of the trip still makes me nervous - and this time was no exception. Still, as soon I got in it was just like in Cayman and I felt great! Easily went down to 80 feet. :) I saw lots of big fish and 4 turtles! However, I also got stung by jellyfish! I have never had that happen before. :( one on my leg then arm, and a big one on the back of my other leg. The dive shop had some stuff to help the stings that seems to be helping. Then, on the second dive I went down too fast and cleared my ears hard, which pinched my eardrum. Ouch! Still, it was really fun to dive - just so far this trip I seem to keep getting hurt slightly! the second dive I saw a big moray eel. To top it all off, I went to Cozumel really excited to get my favorite lobster kabobs at LA Choza, but it apparently burned down just three weeks ago! Vacations never turn out as planned - but due to that now I already have stories and it has been a day! I will give more updates later.

Wow! I can only dream of such adventures. I hope the rest of your trip is better. My adventure today was starting the potty training for my 2 year old boy. :-)
