This weekend started out with my first group ride with my triathlon group - and my first fall! I should have listened to that voice that said do not go out today. I have been fighting a chest cold, but did not want to get behind on my training. Two miles into the ride, I had to unclip to get around a gate. While getting clipped back in, I think my reflexes were off and I fell over. Yes, I was stopped and fell over. :) I hear it happens to everyone at some point, I just did not think I would be the first in my group! All of my weight ended up on my right knee so I called it a day after that. So the morale of this story is not to train if you are getting ill! I took the rest of the weekend off to rest and recover.
However, I did man up for one event I did not want to miss. I managed to get a seat at the Fresh Start Fashion Show and Gala Saturday night. This is a wonderful organization to help women in all sorts of situations. As it is a super nice event I did not want the ticket to go to waste, all black tie. There were live auctions, raffles, dinner and of course the fashion show from Saks Fifth Avenue. I am learning more about how these events are run as co-chair of the Viva Las Vegas event to be held for 20-30. These events take a really long time to plan, so I admire those that put them on!

Haha I used to fall all the time when I was stationary. Know how you feel. Only time I was scared riding was when my speedometer approached 40mph on a downhill!
