So this past weekend I got back to working on the house Saturday - which consisted of lunch with my mom, in order to steal my dad to help with matching the paint. Then again - anytime with my dad turns into more talking and less work! At least I now have the right paint when I get started! I also went to Roaring Fork for dinner - I highly recommend for anyone in AZ! Very yummy. I called it an early night since Sunday I had big hiking plans!
I am so excited I get to hike now that marathoning is over, and started with the superstitions while it is still not too hot (which meant meeting up really early!). I did a 9 mile loop around Miners Needle, which I do not think I have ever done before! I need to expand my hiking trails and try new ones. It felt so good to do that distance as well. Unfortunately, the wildflowers are not out in bloom with the lack of rain. I remember going this time of year a couple of years ago and all the desert flowers were out. By midday, it started to get hot. Just a reminder to go North for future weekend hikes. :)
