So last week - wedding # 2 was added for Laura and Eric! It was out at a golf course with a beautiful view of the mountains behind. Another night of fun dancing and food. I stayed up way to late talking to friends in different rooms at the hotel. Ah...only young once right? Here are a few pics of me and the girls, and the lucky couple.
This weekend, I started it off with the March of Dimes walk. My company was helping to sponsor the event. It was only 4 miles to walk. Now that I am running races, that 4 miles seemed to take forever! But there was good company to talk to, and fun to try and recognize friends from work in their casual clothes. From there, I fast forwarded my scuba certification. Let me say this - I am a good student and got the written work, but time in the pool was a different story! The water was 70 degrees, and although I was wearing a 7mm wetsuit, I still had to get out shortly since I was freezing. I do not think I am a natual at that - here I am the one who avoids getting into anything that I cannot see the bottom of. I talked to the instructor, and apparently he got thown into scuba since he was afraid of getting into the water. Maybe there is hope for me! I have faith that it was the cold water that made learning it so hard, and I may just need to practice more than some others. Breathing out of only your mouth, and clearing water from a mask full of it are tasks I need to practice.
So today...I did something different again and went on the Phoenix Luxury Home tour. Looking at houses anywhere from 1.8 mil to almost 6. While the houses were nice, they were all on the way north side of town. I cannot imagine commuting from there! I got lots of future ideas for things I want in my next house though. It took most of the day to go through 7 houses. My favorite part is the master bathrooms with big tubs and showers. :)
On a side note.....this weekend I was watching all of the episodes of Discovery Channels "Planet Earth". If you get the chance to watch it, so very interesting! I am a nature girl at heart. :) www.planet-earth.com
