My hero - Grandma

This weekend was abit more relaxing than usual - still full of activties though! Friday headed to Ztejas for my favorite cornbread and work company. Went to my favorite bookstore ever Saturday, Changing Hands and got my taxes done the same day http://www.changinghands.com/. Sunday, I had brunch at the Buttes with the gang. Pricey, but well worth the morning view and great gourmet food! The gang was going to a spring training game, but I had to miss for something important - my grandmothers 86th B-day! Hard to believe that she is that age now, she fools everyone with her energy and stories. She is really my hero for everything she has been though, and still always having a postive attitude and love towards everyone.

That evening, I think my parents got the hint that I am getting into non-profits more so I was invited to something my mother supports, the ARC http://www.tempearc.com/. They do recreation and activities for adults with developmental disabilites. The event was a food and wine tasting - which for me amounts to food tasting only. :)
And you happy thought of the week:
The Optimist's Creed

1. Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
2. Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
3. Make all your friends feel there is something special in them.
4. Look at the sunny side of everything.
5. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best.
6. Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
7. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
8. Give everyone a smile.
9. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others.
10. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

Optimist Creed by Christian Larson is great affirmations.

If anyone want the PDF version of it, it's available at Your Guidance

The Optimist Creed is nice to have it printed and pasted it on the wall.
