April/May Updates!

It is already May and I have no idea how the time passes so fast! Here are a few updates on what has been happening. I continue to travel a couple times a month for work – in April I went to Dallas for several days then Colorado Springs. In May I have plans to fly into Denver and Vegas. I have to say I am lucky that the states I work with are close by! Most of the travel is fun, though it does make my workouts get way off track!

For non-profit events I have been lucky enough to be invited to several events through work. I went to Habitat for Humanity Blueprints for Blue jeans at the beginning of April. I also attending Taste for the Boys and Girls Club. I volunteered as part of work for Jr Achievement for a networking event where teens learn the tools to network in business. This month I had a great lunch with Go Red for Women with the American Heart Association. Lastly – Viva!!! I had my yearly fundraising event with the 20-30 girls for Florence Crittenton May 2nd. It was held at City North, with over 700 who attended. It is a full day event – set up then working the event that night. All for a good cause to help valley kids – and of course I have fun with the girls!

For fitness I am working to get back in tri training. With my travel I got way off! Excuses I know – so I am back on it!. I have been riding my road bike which I love much more than I thought I would. I went on a 35 mile ride with the place I bought it Bicycle Ranch last weekend and hope to continue that! Swimming is escaping me right now but I have plan to get back practicing that.
