Holiday Catch up

Hello friends and family! It has been awhile since I posted to a quick catch up. Dec. was full of parties...work, friends, and even the Hannakah dinner. I hosted my extended fanily the week before Christmas for the pre-gift exchange. My brothers and Dad had the most fun with thw Wii - those are great! It was a great time - but I am glad to have a break! I am on a plane three times in January and it was nice to have a few days off! But now it is a new year and time for resolutions. I have been doing this for the past several years but this year I am keeping it simple to be sure I get it done.

1. Be in the moment - I think about the past and future way too much planning or dwelling. Just be. Great for my job, not so fun in the personal life.

2. Complete 1/2 Ironman

3. Travel to fun places

4. Be more Outdoorsy

5. Spend time with friends!

And that's it! I know not too much, but I wanted to keep it simple this time. I still have all of my other goals especially for work, but for me outside of things professionally this is what I want to focus on this year. I did not make it to Europe this past year, but considering where I did get to I feel accomplished!!

Speaking of accomplishments...I just got the news today my bike is in! YEAH!!! I also had a LT test (Latic Theashold). Basically the Heart rate where I hit the top and cannot sustain. For me that turned out to be 180 - which helps when I have my training plan to know what zone to be in depending on the type of training I am doing that month/week . My coach is the best mix of being firm but nice at the same time. Today, as I ran on the treamill for my test he asked "Has ever taught you how to run?" trying not to be obvious that my running technique apparently had several issues. Basically it turns out I run wrong to sustatin so now I have another test with video in a couple of weeks to break down my run - and get faster! I always wondered why I have these long legs and cannot seem to run fast! I have my first tri of the year Mar. 29th....
