My weekend was all about 20-30, and car shopping. I must admit that shopping for a car is stressful for me. I am really indecisive right now about what I want. Do I go with something practical or do I get my 4 x 4 vehicle? Also, just going to a place to test drive can be a challenge. I brought my Dad along so he could see some of the new cars, and that definitely changed how I was treated. They probably thought I was younger than I am, though maybe that is a compliment! Many of the dealerships are so quick to determine if you are going to buy that day. One dealership I went to was really quick to send me to used cars, and then did not let me try the other car I wanted to test drive (it was pricier). I could have pushed it, but I will bring my business somewhere else. If they only knew. :) I am not in a big rush, so I am taking my time to get what I really like.
The national midterm for 20-30 was here over the weekend, so Saturday I went first to Furio for a meeting there. It was great to hear about what things the club does on a national level. Sunday was the annual Night Flite event by the Scottsdale 20-30. The event raises money for the Scottsdale Boys and Girls Club as well as other children’s charities. They shut off the street between Axis/Radius and Suede. Super fun – there was food vendors, an auction, and fun with my girlfriends from 20-30. I did not stay out late though, got to get up early for work the next day!
