Copper Mountain skiing

I love skiing......and this past weekend I had another opportunity to go! This was the first annual ski bunny weekend, girls only! Kel, Laura, Beth and I all made it up over Presidents Day weekend to lovely Colorado for a trip to Copper Mountain. We stayed at Kel's brother Bryan place and he was nice enough to let 4 AZ girls brave driving in ice and snow to Copper Mountain. Kelly was awesome at driving up there, but the flight in was the coldest I had ever been in. It was negative 3 outside when we got off the plane! Saturday the 4 of us girls took a lesson together that was well worth it. I finally figured out that I was standing wrong. By Sunday, with the help of my new skills I was racing down the mountain. We got the GPS trackers again like we did in Telluride to track where and how fast we were on the mountain. It was the first time for all of us doing back bowls (all black runs). By Monday, we did our hardest run, Far east and after that long run of mogols we were done for the day. On the way back from Denver it became a running joke to look at the brown signs to see what crazy places we could find, and we ended up at Buffalo Bills grave. It had a fabulous view of Denver, Overall it was one of the best trips I have had, even with our luggage being placed on the wrong flight on the way back home. I am already dreaming of the next ski trip!
