Bikes, ASU,and Running for Second Base

I must say that I love how my friends like to get out and experience all that AZ has to offer! Saturday started with the Tour De Fat put on by New Belgium Brewery. It is a bike festival focused on renewing the environment and of course, beer. People get dressed in all sorts of crazy outfits and ride their bikes around town. I meant to be a belly dancer, but I decided to skip all my gear as the heat increased. It is supposed to be getting cooler, but riding that day did not seem like it! I managed unlike other to avoid getting sunburned. It renewed my desire to get our on my bike more, and buy that road bike I have been meaning to get.

That afternoon, I headed to yet another 30th B-day party, this time for Eric. Although I did not attend the ASU game, I did stop by the tailgate in his honor with a 30th B-day theme. The tailgates just get better, this time with a fellow neighbor starting songs aka. Piano bar. This had us all singing and dancing. Also special, the littlest ASU fans Avery and Andon looked great in their ASU garb.

Sunday we continued our run training with the Race for the Cure. We bought special shirts for the run, from Save Second Base. Kel and I ran together for most of the race. I realized again, that I have to be careful what I eat or I get cramps! As we started to run, someone ran beside us asking for our names. We apparently looked so great that our pic made it up on azcentral for the race.
