Catch up - again Nov and Dec.

So once again...I have neglected by blog - I like to think due to how much I have been doing! So here in the last month is a summary. One of my new years resolutions will be to update this more often. So Nov 12th was the last time I posted....

I went to a Cystic Fibrosis Charity Dinner that weekend in Nov. I love attending these events. Laura and Beth are very involved with the organization and I go to support them, and have a fun night with friends. It was at a homebuilder house in Paradise Valley...and gave me aspirations to have the same type of house someday!

Then for Thanksgiving...I went back east to Virginia! Getting there and back were awful....What was supposed to be an 1 hr 1/2 trip from DC turned into a 5 hours driving ordeal. And the way back, missed the flight from the hotel "forgetting" the wake up call. Being there though, was beautiful. I had never been to DC, so that was interesting to see from afar all the monuments. I also got to hike on the Appalachian trail in Shenandoah valley. Gorgeous!! Very fun trip.

So then into December. I love December...because Ski season and x mas comes! First of the month attending the new ritual of Warren Miller. If you have not seen any of his ski movies, and you ski/snowboard you should. I have plans for Telluride, Copper, Tahoe and perhaps Utah this year. :)

The rest of the first weekend of December I had Kelly's Bridal shower - yes, she is finally getting married after all this time! Normally, I am not into Bridal shower games, but this one was good. Theme of butterflies and wine... and then Sunday that weekend I ran the Fiesta Bowl half marathon. I tell the girls that I learn something every 1/2 marathon I do - 1st one was that I had to bring lots of gu shots and eat every 30 minutes. This one I learned the shoes I had were not made for my big feet - and I got big blisters. Not my best time!

The following weekend (I told you I have been non-stop!) I had a meeting for work, straight into a trip to Vegas for another 1/2 marathon! This one I learned that while Vegas is fun, getting up at 4:15 in Vegas is not a typical trip. It is too funny to be walking though the Casino at 4:30 on our way for the run - and seeing everyone who has not even gone to bed yet. And I learned my new shoes worked wonders! No more blisters! The actual run was fun. They shut down the strip so the view is interesting to see while running. I think I was the most motivated to finish this one - Bellagio buffet was waiting at the end for us. :) Although....I think next year I will pass on this one. That was the tamest trip I have ever taken to Vegas, we stayed till Monday but were asleep early that night....

So from there....straight to Florida for work (my luggage was huge)! I was there all last week to help with training. So close to the beach....yet so far when you are traveling for work. It was a great trip to learn, but most kept to the hotel room after training. It was raining out anyway.

When I got back home, I went straight to xmas shopping all day Saturday since I had not done much at all! Saturday night I went with the parents to the Desert Botanical Gardens for Luminarias. They set up musicians throughout the trails and have luminarias the whole way. There is also wine tastings and food. I had never been before, but if you like that sort of thing I would recommend it!

Whew! Now with the holidays coming up, I will have more to write soon!
